Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026
Short version SafPix runs entirely in your browser — your image is processed on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. (Loading the page makes ordinary web requests — fonts and privacy-friendly analytics — that may see your IP address, but never your image.) We do not use images for training or sell data to third parties.

What happens on the free tier

When you use SafPix's free scanner, image processing is designed to run locally in your browser. Here's what happens:

The free tier is designed so that your image is not transmitted to our servers. You can verify this using your browser's developer tools (Network tab).

What happens on the Pro tier

The free tier's forensic signals, visualization overlays, and trust score run in your browser — even for Pro users. Pro adds additional features:

The forensic narrative and report are generated entirely in your browser from the scan data. No part of your image is uploaded for analysis.

We do not use images or results for model training — analysis happens entirely on your device, so there is no server to send them to.

We do not sell or intentionally share your images or scan data with third parties.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

SafPix does not set first-party cookies. We may use privacy-respecting analytics services to collect basic usage data such as page views, referral sources, and device types. These services do not use cookies or collect personal data. We may track aggregate events (scans completed, features used) to understand product usage, but these events do not contain your image or scan results.

SafPix does not attempt to identify individual users through the free tier.

Third-party services

SafPix may use the following third-party services. Their respective privacy policies apply:

Your rights

If you are in a jurisdiction with data-subject rights legislation, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to processing of your data. Since the free tier is designed to process data locally, there is generally no personal data for us to access or delete. For Pro-related inquiries, email support@safpix.com.

Children's privacy

SafPix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact support@safpix.com and we will delete it.

Your privacy rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights over your personal data, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Because the scanner runs on your device, we hold little or no personal data about you; where we do (for example payment records via Stripe, or aggregate analytics), our legal basis is performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in operating the service. To exercise any right, email support@safpix.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never receive your images. Exercising these rights will not result in discriminatory treatment. To make a request, email support@safpix.com.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your images, scan results, or personal information to anyone, and we never have.

International users

SafPix is operated from the United States and relies on service providers (such as Cloudflare and Stripe) that may process limited data in the U.S. and other countries. By using SafPix you understand that any limited data we handle may be processed in those locations.

Security

Because SafPix processes your images on your own device, they are not transmitted to us at all. For payment and account data we rely on Stripe's secure infrastructure. SafPix is a small project; while we use commercially reasonable measures, we make no guarantees about the security of any systems outside your own device, and you should not rely on SafPix for critical use cases requiring certified security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of SafPix after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
