Reverse-search it

Stolen listing photos live all over the internet. On your phone: open Google Lens (or google.com → camera icon), point it at the photo, and see where else it appears. Same apartment listed in three cities = scam.

Ask for a fresh photo — with proof → Original check

"Can you send a photo of it right now, with a note that says today's date, as a file (not WhatsApp photo)?" A real seller does this in 60 seconds. Then audit the file's camera physics with our Original check. Scammers refuse, stall, or send a screenshot.

Profile picture looks too good? Compare it against any other photo they've sent you — fake profiles reuse other people's faces.

🚩 Listing photo red flags

Showroom-perfect photos for a private sale — real people photograph cars in driveways, not studios.
Cropped corners or blurred patches — often hiding another site's watermark.
Wrong season or weather — snow in the background of a "listed yesterday" July ad.
Won't send new photos — every excuse ("phone broken", "I'm abroad") is the same tell.
Price far below market + pressure to pay a deposit sight-unseen — the photo check matters most exactly here.
Puppies: scammers reuse the same adorable litter photos for years — reverse-search always.
